Abarth 595 по-прежнему оснащается турбомотором 1.4 T-Jet, но теперь его мощность немного увеличена. На базовой версии он развивает 145 вместо 140 л.с., хотя крутящий момент не изменился (206 Нм). На модификации 595 Turismo вместо турбокомпрессора IHI отныне применяется агрегат фирмы Garrett, хотя на тяге эта замена не сказалась (230 Нм), а мощность выросла на те же 5 «лошадей» — до 165 л.с.
Наконец, мотор самой «злой» версии Competizione не изменился (он и прежде оснащался «турбиной» Garrett и развивал 180 л.с. и 250 Нм), зато среди опций у нее появился самоблокирующийся дифференциал, эффект от которого на треке должен стать даже более ярким, нежели от прибавки мощности. Такая трехдверка с «механикой» способна разогнаться с места до «сотни» за 6,7 с, а максимальная скорость — 225 км/ч. За доплату все модификации Абарта могут быть оснащены роботизированной коробкой передач с одним сцеплением, но в этом случае «самоблок» заказать нельзя.
Изменены настройки подвески и тормозов. Версия Turismo оснащается амплитудозависимыми амортизаторами Koni FSD на задней оси, у модификации Competizione такие установлены еще и спереди, а вместе с ними — мощные тормоза Brembo с четырехпоршневыми механизмами и фиксированными скобами.
Изменения в дизайне носят функциональный характер. Например, более широкая пасть переднего воздухозаборника позволила увеличить приток воздуха к радиатору на 18%, а новые 17-дюймовые колеса легче прежних, благодаря чему в полтора раза улучшено охлаждение тормозных механизмов. В салоне установлен новый руль и изменены отделочные материалы.
В Европе обновленный Abarth 595 можно будет купить уже в июне — сейчас цены на дореформенные машины начинаются с 18850 евро. А впереди — модернизация самой дикой «пятисотки» под названием Abarth 695 Biposto: с облегченным кузовом, спартанским интерьером и 190-сильным мотором 1.4 T-Jet. Такой хэтчбек разменивает первую «сотню» за 5,9 с, но цена — минимум 39900 евро. Увы, нам от этого проку нет: в Россию поставляются только «гражданские» хэтчбеки Fiat 500 с безнаддувными моторами.

In the 1960s the 595 proved an immediate success thanks to its extraordinary performance, unusual for such a small car, and became the brand’s ‘icon’. A history of records broken, victories and passionate people who have bolstered the legend of a car that represents the essence of the brand, expressed in four values: ‘size’ (it is the smallest supercar), ‘shape’ (Abarth is the 595 and the 595 is Abarth: all the Abarths in the collective imagination are white with a red band, like the 595), ‘speed’ (it is a racing car boasting record-breaking performance) and ‘spirit’ (it is not vintage, but rather contemporary history).
The presentation of the Special Edition also becomes an opportunity to celebrate the brand. The 595 ’50th Anniversary’ is the car that opens up a new era for the Abarth brand. After 1949, the year it was founded, and 2007, the year it was revived, the two-year period of 2013-2014 presents itself as a decisive step for the Abarth brand that precisely with this car once again demonstrates its outstanding ability to look to the future without betraying its past. So new horizons are opening up for the Abarth brand that from the very beginning showed itself to its public as a brand able to renew itself constantly, accepting and overcoming challenges often considered impossible.
The commemorative car will be produced in only 299 exclusive units. The livery, a modern reinterpretation of the original; the colour; the historical Abarth logos; and the original “Fiat Abarth 595” graphics, all handmade by the best customisation artists at Officine Abarth in Turin, give the car individuality and character to turn it into a “contemporary icon”.

The 180 HP 1.4 T-Jet engine – combined with the “Abarth Competizione” gearbox – make the Abarth 595 ’50th Anniversary’ the most powerful 595 ever produced.
Performance is also guaranteed by performance tyres mounted on 17” alloy wheels with 695 Magnesio Grey design embellished by an aggressive red liner. The setup and braking system have also been further strengthened: Brembo 305 mm floating brake discs that can be dismantled with fixed four-piston caliper and special shock absorbers that guarantee performance in total safety. And of course there is a “Record Monza” variable back-pressure “dual mode” exhaust, designed to improve engine performance and deliver an inspiring sound over 3,000 rpm. Performance is a state of mind.
Specific exteriors: a tribute to the historical 595
The style of the exteriors uses the historical features of the 595 without betraying its original spirit.
The historical logos on the car are a tribute to the original and are made with the exclusivity and attention to detail typical of Officine Abarth. The matt three-layer white paintwork, a contemporary reinterpretation of the 1963 model, and the graphics are ensured by the traditional handcrafting machining and finishing processes.
The new Abarth adopts Xenon headlights with dipped and driving light functions for improved light emission and excellent performance in all weather conditions. These devices deliver three times the light intensity and duration of standard halogen lamp headlights. The sun roof completes the tribute to the original car.
Attention to detail and sportiness for its interiors
The interiors are just as personalised and demonstrate the attention to detail and the sporting style of the exclusive 595 50th Anniversary. The red leather sports seats with white inserts and red stitching, combined with the dashboard, are a modern re-interpretation of those of the original car.
The historical logo adorns both the black leather steering wheel with red inserts and finder and the kick plate, giving the car a timeless modernity.

Specific communication plan for digital, TV and social channels
Celebration of the 595’s anniversary is supported by a series of commercial activities across the Abarth range and by an extremely digital communication plan which revolves around the new commercial: the essence of the Abarth brand concentrated in 5.95 seconds through an evocative and epic slow motion.
As usual, in the centre of everything is the car – the absolute star of the video – and its performance. That is because according to Abarth, “Performance is a state of mind”.
The communication also goes through the channels more customary for the brand with the organisation of the first digital “rally” (where at least virtual 595 Abarth cars will be involved) and the most numerous anniversary ever, also celebrated with a fun App for iPhone, iPad, Android and Facebook through which Abarth fans can “play” their favourite tunes substituting the musical notes with the powerful sounds of the engines of the Abarth cars. True fans will be unable to say no to playing “Happy Birthday” to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 595. There will also be events celebrating the important anniversary.
Dedicated extension merchandising and accessories line
In accordance with the tradition of Abarth Special Editions, the already extensive equipment of the Abarth 595 ’50th Anniversary’ is enlarged with an extension merchandising and accessories line designed to enhance the experience of the brand both on board and outside the car, as dictated by the DNA of the Abarth brand. It is not just about cars, but is a real philosophy of life. Together with other important partners in their reference sectors, Abarth has developed specific products, presently in the manufacturing stage, such as the watch with the exclusive BRM brand, sunglasses made in collaboration with Italian Independent, a symbol of Italian style and cutting-edge technology, leather briefcases that are the result of the craftsmanship of the Tramontano workshop of Naples, the BBR models and a bicycle that will be made with a partner of excellence.
All products are manufactured in limited editions to reinforce the concept of exclusivity and craftsmanship at the core of this project.

Abarth 595 – это дань традициям. 60 лет назад Карл Абарт построил легендарный автомобиль Scorpione. Сразу двумя модификациям 595 в Fiat решили расширить модельный ряд 500. Перфорированные, вентилируемые тормозные диски размером 284 x 22 мм спереди дополняются перфорированными дисками размером 240 x 11 мм сзади. Передние и задние амортизаторы Koni FSD отвечают за четкое поведение автомобиля на дороге. Экстерьер автомобилей выполнен в фирменном стиле Abarth – они яркие и легко узнаваемые. 17-дюймовые колесные диски, новый аэродинамический обвес, новая решетка радиатора, задний диффузор и окраска – все говорит о горячем сердце автомобиля. В интерьере тоже есть на что посмотреть. Черный, спортивный, кожаный руль оснащен кнопками для переключения передач. Может это и не так интересно, зато передачи переключаются значительно быстрее. Спортивные сиденья обтянуты кожей и алькантарой. Как и во многих других спортивных автомобилях, в салоне Abarth 595 много алюминия – это ручка КПП, вставки в дверных панелях и на приборной доске, алюминиевые педали. В общем, все в автомобилях Abarth 595 говорит о их спортивной сути и стремлении наполнить каждую поездку удовольствием от вождения.

Although not mentioned, it’s unlikely that we’ll see these in the US market.

It’s really nice, but like you said, highly unlikely to make it to the USA. Too bad Fiat doesn’t recognize that the Abarth brand would be far more successful if they would make custom versions here too. 695 Specialties would make a killing if they set up shop here.

the old 595 is why i bought a white abarth. and this makes me want to swap out for a red dash and put red rim stripes on. and makes me regret even more that i didn’t get red leather seats.
matte white paint though. matte black is so hard to keep looking nice, i wonder if white is any worse?

The Abarth 595 ’50th Anniversary’ celebrates the original Abarth 595 that debuted 50 years ago on September 15, 1963. That Fiat Abarth 595 took the normal Fiat 500 to an extreme level, doubling the horsepower of the standard car with the elaborate engine modifications that Abarth is famous for. Abarth also modified the trim of the car and the 595 quickly became a status symbol for those who love to drive quick and agile small cars.
The new car follows in those footsteps quite well. With a 180 HP 1.4 T-Jet engine that is more than double that of the base 500’s 69 hp and trim that stands out from even the already hot looking standard Abarth’s, the ’50th Anniversary’ model is a fitting tribute to the original.
The Abarth 595 ’50th Anniversary’ edition uses the Magneti Marelli Record Monza variable back-pressure “dual mode” exhaust that has a valve that opens the exhaust at engine speeds over 3,000 rpm, improving engine performance and giving the car a wicked sound.
An Abarth Competizione gearbox is used in the 595 ’50th Anniversary’. This is an automated manual gearbox that can shift by itself or shifted manually via the paddle shifters on either side of the steering wheel. The first appearance of the Abarth Competizione gearbox was in 1949 when one of Carlo Abarth’s first performance products offered was a competition gearbox with steering wheel controls for the Fiat Topolino.

The inspiration for the Abarth 595 ’50th Anniversary’ edition is the original 595 from 1963. Abarth worked their magic and increased the displacement of the standard Fiat 500 from 499.5 cc to 595 cc and the power went to 27 HP, more than doubling the stock car’s. Along with the substantial performance increase, Abarth wanted to make sure everyone knew this was one hot car, so he added a special grille, badging and offered a host of accessories so you could personalize the car the way you wanted to. Ever wonder why your new Abarth has badges on the sides? It’s called heritage! Or as Abarth says the car “looks to the future without betraying its past.”
Xenon headlights, Brembo 4 piston caliper brakes, 17 inch Magnesium Grey wheels with red liners and special badges and stripes complete the package.
Only 299 of the Abarth 595 ’50th Anniversary’ will be made and, like all Abarth special editions, expect the model to be quickly sold out. Abarth is also starting a promotional campaign celebrating the 50th anniversary of the 595. A digital rally is planned, along with videos, and a phone app that looks like fun.
